Dr. Jenn Hartmann, Founder, Chiropractic Physician & Licensed Massage Therapist
Dr. Jennifer A. Hartmann is a Pennsylvania Board Certified Chiropractic Physician with almost 20 years experience in sports medicine and therapy. In 2007, Dr. Hartmann graduated from National University of Health Sciences for her doctorate, as well as, attaining her BS in human anatomy. Dr. Hartmann is also a Licensed Massage Therapist, Functional Movement Specialist, Golf Fitness Instructor, Internationally Certified Chiropractic Sports Provider and Dietitian. Dr. Hartmann’s focus on sports medicine and nutrition has evolved from her early love of sports, as young as 5 years old, and has been designed to help patients achieve healthier lifestyles. This has translated into what Strafford Chiropractic & Healing Center is today; a wellness mecca on the Mainline.
Breathing is the cornerstone of life, then comes movement, then comes stability of that movement, and then there is a foundation for strength to be gained. Dr. Hartmann has been flattered with patients calling her the “fixer”, but she believes she is merely just a facilitator for your healing. She is trusted by the areas premier medical doctors, neurosurgeons, orthopedists and other alternative practitioners for care and guidance on spine and non-spinal conditions alike. Dr. Hartman has treated many professional athletes in baseball, basketball, football, golf, ultimate frisbee and cyclists, Iron-man triathletes, and also treated top level amateurs in tennis, squash, and golf. She loves working with young athletes to improve performance and reduce injury, so they have an increased opportunity to compete at the Division 1 sports level. Dr. Hartmann is passionate about teaching her patients the “why” to their pain and limitations, so they can be empowered to move better and more often with ease and comfort.
Using a truly holistic approach to wellness and healing is what distinguishes Dr. Hartmann from the typical chiropractor. A holistic approach to care means, that we are interested in engaging and developing the person as a whole. You can think of this as the 7 dimensions of wellness: physical, emotional, social, financial, intellectual, occupational, and environmental. It’s the concept that the human being is multidimensional and multi-factorial. Dr. Hartmann’s strong relationships with some of the best specialists and other allied health professionals nationwide is a major benefit to her patients, who rely on those trusted connections for immediate expert referrals.

Dr. Irene Londer, Chiropractic Physician & Myofascial Release Specialist
Dr. Irene Londer has been committed to helping her patients live healthier lives for 25 years. Her passion for helping people break free of pain & return to optimal function and performance at work and home, started at an early age. Volunteering at Coney Island Hospital in NY, local nursing homes, and pain management practices triggered her interest in working on the human body to restore health utilizing natural holistic therapies. After graduating from Temple University, she went on to Pennsylvania Chiropractic College, graduating Cum Laude in 1995. Dr. Londer is an active member of the Pennsylvania Chiropractic Association & American Chiropractic Association and has served communities in South Philadelphia, King of Prussia, and Devon, Pennsylvania. Dr. Londer lives in Collegeville, Pa with her husband and children.
“My philosophy of care is based on the belief that my patient’s needs and goals for health is of the utmost importance. Listening to their healthcare concerns is important in working as a team to provide the optimal acute care treatment protocol, and then continued wellness care plans. By utilizing specialty techniques focusing on soft tissue and gentle manipulation of the spine, I strive to restore health and optimal function in the quickest and safest way possible. I promise to guide and educate my patients on ways to lead a healthy lifestyle, while respecting the body’s natural healing abilities. While the treatment at our office is priority to reduce restriction in motion, spinal misalignment and postural asymmetry, maintaining the progress requires home instruction on not only functional daily stretches and strengthening exercises but proper nutritional habits as well. Providing our patients with the tools to live their lives without interference is what helps us strive to provide our community with the best care.
I am excited to bring to SCHC a knowledge base and treatment protocols to help patients identify dysfunctional patterns in their musculoskeletal system that is holding them in their pain cycle, and keeping them from optimal performance.”
Jeannie Mercier, LMT
Jeannie has been in the massage world for 11 years, and attended PSMT (Philadelphia School of Muscle Therapy). After a long career in the business world and raising two children, she was looking for a change. While dealing with a long family illness, she received a massage as a gift and quickly learned that proper bodywork can make stress melt away. Jeannie seeks to make a difference in the lives of all of her clients; from athletes to the elderly and everyone in between. She implements a combination of different modalities when addressing each client’s pain, dysfunctions, and bracing due to injury, or poor posture. She has massage training in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sport, Myofascial Release, Thai, Cupping, Raindrop Technique, and Reiki.
Leslie Smith, Reiki Master
Leslie Joy Smith is a Reiki Master who began her holistic health practice in 1989 as a
Shiatsu & Therapeutic Touch Practitioner. She has taken other related courses including Meditation, Foot Reflexology, Jin Shin Do, and One Brain (dealing with emotional dyslexia). Over her many years of being in private practice and having given treatments to Hospice patients as a volunteer for both Brookdale and Horizons Hospices, she has integrated various modalities into treatments that are responsive to each client’s needs.
Leslie’s background in health and wellness began in the early 1980’s when she became a volunteer EMT for a local ambulance company in Lionville. She also became a Certified Instructor for the Red Cross First Aid courses and CPR which she taught to ambulance personnel and the public for over 4 years. It was a privilege to be part of such a fine volunteer group serving the community.
She particularly likes that Reiki can be done with a very light, gentle touch on the body, or can be beamed from slightly off the body. Therapeutic Touch is slightly different than Reiki, and it is done with the hands off the body working in the client’s energy field to help promote healing on the physical body. Both Reiki and Therapeutic Touch are used for patients in a growing number of hospitals in the Philadelphia area and nationwide.
Helping others to heal in natural ways is what attracted Leslie to the energy healing work she does. She particularly enjoys teaching Reiki and other self-healing and relaxing practices to support each person’s healing journey.
